HALIFAX, NS (January 17, 2023) – Management for the Auto World Maritime Allstar Sportsman Series (MASS) is pleased to announce an eight-race championship schedule for the series second season, up by one event in the inaugural year. The series will see top sportsman teams compete at five different tracks in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Half of the events will see MASS with top billing.

“We’re thrilled that the success of our first season has allowed us to grow this year,” said Craig McFetridge, owner of the series. “We’re thankful for all of the support and hope this year is even better than last.”

Riverside International Speedway (James River) will see three visits: June 10, July 14 as part of the IWK 250 Super Weekend, and September 9 for the season finale championship race. Petty International Raceway (Petitcodiac, NB) will feature MASS as the highlight of its season opener on May 20 and see the series again on August 26. Lake Doucette Motor Speedway (Digby) sees MASS return as the feature for its season opener on June 3, Scotia Speedworld (Halifax) will host the series on June 24 as part of its pro stock event, and Bud’s Raceway (Sydney) features MASS on August 5.

Auto World Truro is returning as series sponsor with owner Dylan Blenkhorn excited to support the series for the second year in a row.

“We’re always happy to contribute to racing in this area,” said Blenkhorn, a well-known racer himself. “MASS is a particularly good fit for us. We’re excited to be growing with it.”

All shows will feature the Maritime Car Wash Heat Races to set the stage for the main event. New-for-’23 is the addition of the Fastrac Machining & Fabrication Rookie of the Year program (details TBA).

Driver registration with an opt-in for rookie status will open in the near future on the series website (www.maritimeallstars.ca).
